Montezuma Pet

The Montezuma Pet is a Pet in the Rift. The player can upgrade it by finding Montezuma Soul Pieces around the Rift.

Obtaining

A RARE Montezuma Pet can be obtained from Sad Jacquelle in the  Wyld Woods after starting their quest and finding the first Montezuma Soul Piece. It is [Lv100] by default.

Montezuma Soul Pieces

There are 9 Montezuma Soul Pieces that can be found in the Rift. After finding 6 pieces, the Montezuma Pet is upgraded to EPIC rarity. Each piece found adds +15 Rift Time to the Pet, and +2 Mana Regen when it is EPIC.

Trivia

The Montezuma Pet gives a base 10 Rift Time, but the minimum amount the player can get from it is 25 Rift Time, due to the Nine Lives ability and needing at least one soul piece to obtain the pet.
The Montezuma Pet cannot be transferred out of the Rift and does not contribute to the player's Pet Score.
If the player somehow manages to get a Tier Boost into the Rift, it is possible to apply it to the Montezuma Pet, and it will become [Lv96] LEGENDARY. It does not gain any additional stats or perks.
- The SkyBlock Menu still shows the pet as [Lv100] EPIC, and it will be reverted to such when the player leaves and rejoins the Rift.
The Montezuma Pet appears to be a reference to the book The Nine Lives of Montezuma, which is about a cat named Montezuma, hence the Montezuma Pet also being a cat.
