An Ankylosaurus Pet can be forged in The Forge with Flawless Opal Gemstone 1 Flawless Opal Gemstone and Clubbed Fossil 1 Clubbed Fossil for 7 days after donating a Clubbed Fossil Clubbed Fossil to A sprite icon representing Dr. Stone in Hypixel SkyBlock Dr. Stone. It requires Heart of the Mountain VII (7) to forge.

Tips

  • Neither Unyielding nor Clubbed Tail provide enough consistent value to be considered for this pet's viability, they should be treated as a bonus rather than something to rely on.
  • This pet, ever since it was buffed, is one of the strongest mid-game combat pets outside of dungeons. The Armored Tank perk usually directly translates to +500 Strength, which is a far more significant damage buff compared to what is provided by other pets at this point in progression. As the pet does not have a particularly high cost, most players who can reach 1000 Defense consistently should get this pet to improve their damage.
    • However, it does eventually get outclassed by the Ender Dragon Pet Ender and Golden Dragon Pet Golden Dragon Pet, both of which provide greater damage via additive damage multipliers or simply better stats.
  • Putting Fuming Potato Book Fuming Potato Books on armor makes hitting 1000 Defense easier.
  • As this pet provides disproportionally high amounts of Strength, using a Power Stone such as Luxurious Spool Silky or Magma Urchin Hurtful is suggested to balance Strength and Crit Damage easier, as well as using Dragon Claw Fabled as the weapon reforge rather than Wither Blood Withered.
  • Though it may seem appealing, using this pet with a defensive build is not very helpful as it won't fix the terrible offensive stats that comes from an armor with zero bonus damage. Instead, pairing this pet with a pre-existing damage build, such as 3/4 Crimson Helmet.png Crimson Armor and a Tarantula Helmet Tarantula Helmet (as the most budget example) would provide a far greater impact overall
    • If survivability is an issue, using the Reaper Mask Reaper Mask is a viable option, as its main drawback of not boosting damage can be partially mitigated with this pet.
  • As the cap to bonus Strength does not change in dungeons, it is not suggested to use this pet in dungeons as its other perks are not impactful enough to make it viable. Instead, a defensive pet such as Turtle Pet Turtle Pet or a utility pet such as Black Cat Pet Black Cat Pet is generally better around mid-game.
    • A strictly damage bonus alternative in dungeons is the Skeleton Pet Skeleton Pet, which can greatly improve the damage output of shortbows such as Juju Shortbow Juju Shortbow far more than this pet can.
