Defeating a Hideonsun grants  Hideonsun Shard and +75  Hunting XP. The amount of Attribute Shards dropped is affected by  Hunting Fortune.

• A Hideonsun can throw its bullet through blocks, and the player can shoot it back through blocks as well.
• Wearing a  Cow Hat grants immunity to the Levitation effect inflicted when hit by a projectile from a Hideonsun.
• Fishing Nets have a relatively large hitbox and can be used to deflect the Hideonsun's projectiles.
