Sowdust

✿ Sowdust is a currency used within  The Garden.

✿ Sowdust can be obtained from the following methods:

• Actively harvesting crops on  The Garden using a specialized farming tool
• Harvesting crops in the Greenhouse

The amount of ✿ Sowdust is calculated per crop block broken. ✿ Sowdust is affected by  Farming Fortune and  Crop Fortune.^[1]

The formula for calculating ✿ Sowdust gained from farming crops on regular Garden plots using a specialized farming tool is as follows:

${\displaystyle TotalFarmingFortune}$ is the player's  Farming Fortune and  Crop Fortune for the matching crop added together.

${\displaystyle BlockBreakMultiplier}$ is 2 for  Sugar Cane and  Cactus, and 1 for all other crops.

The amount of ✿ Sowdust gained for harvesting crops and mutations in the Greenhouse depends on the amount of base crops dropped, which is then divided by a crop-specific multiplier and scaled by  Farming Fortune and  Crop Fortune.

The formula to calculate the amount for a single crop dropped from a mutation is as follows:

To calculate the final amount, this needs to be calculated for each crop dropped by a mutation, and then the amounts summed up.

• The minimum ✿ Sowdust per crop possible is 1 ✿ Sowdust if the player has 100 or less total  Farming Fortune.
  • That number is instead 0.5 for  Sugar Cane and  Cactus.
• With 2600  Farming Fortune and 20 blocks broken per second, it would take about 133 hours to get the 250,000,000 ✿ Sowdust required to max Chip levels and SkyBlock XP
• Due to the calculations for ✿ Sowdust, the best crop for it is whichever one the player has the most  Farming Fortune in and can get as close to breaking 20 blocks per second.
• It is possible to actually gain a fractional amount of ✿ Sowdust in increments of 0.5 when farming  Sugar Cane or  Cactus. The amount is simply rounded when displayed.
