Desert Whispers are a type of Currency that can be used to upgrade Heart of the Forest perks from HotF 4 to HotF 8.

250 Gifts Perk	20 Desert Whispers per Tree Gift for the first 250 Tree Gifts in a day
Miria's Milestones (II-V)	+50%-200% Desert Whispers from Miria's Contest

Desert Whispers are used to upgrade Heart of the Forest perks between Heart of the Forest 4-8.

The maximum amount of Desert Whispers a player may have is 2 billion.
Players with over 12,500,000 Forest Whispers before the release of the  Torrhus Canyon had excess Forest Whispers converted to Desert Whispers at a 1:1 ratio.
