Defend Jerry's Workshop is an event that is part of the Season of Jerry Event. It happens at the end of the 23rd of Late Winter on Jerry's Workshop.

Objective

[edit | edit source]

The players' objective is to defeat Magma Cubes emerging from Mount Jerry before they reach the Gift Piles located in the town. There are 5 waves in total.

Damage

[edit | edit source]

To deal damage to the Magma Cubes during the event, a Frosty the Snow Cannon, Frosty the Snow Blaster or Frosty the Howitzer must be used to shoot Snowballs at them. Each Snowball that hits a Magma Cube will deduct 1 from its Health.

Mountable Snow Cannons can be used to damage Liquid Hot Magmas, but not Magma Cubes.

The amount of damage the player has dealt is visible in the scoreboard.

Mechanics

Mount Jerry eruption

Mount Jerry
Mount Jerry (Erupted)
The eruption (sped up by 8×)

At the start of the event, Mount Jerry will begin erupting. Snow will melt and ice will deplete.

Power-Ups

[edit | edit source]

Power-Ups spawn around the village in random intervals and last 80 seconds when picked up.

Icon Power-Up Effects
Homing Snowballs The snowballs fired from your Snow Cannon now home towards Liquid Hot Magmas and Magma Cube Bosses
Double Up The snowballs are fired from your Snow Cannon at 2× the rate.
Strongarm Snowballs travel much farther and deal double damage.

Snow Cannons

[edit | edit source]

Snow Cannons can be mounted and used to shoot snowballs. Only one player can mount a snow cannon at a time, and when a player mounts one, it will trigger a message, which will be broadcast to the entire lobby. Two are on top of buildings, and two at the gate of the village in Jerry's Workshop.

When fired, they deal 10 Damage to mobs in a 10x10 area where the large snowball lands. The Snow Cannon cannot damage Magma Cubes.

Lucky 7 (700)

There are 5 waves with 10 different sizes/types of Magma Cube mini-bosses spawning on top of Mount Jerry during the eruption. They will slowly make their way down the mountain to destroy the Gift Piles.

Maggie 200
Cubert 300
Cübe 400
Cubette 500
Magmalene 600
Lucky 7 700

Mega Cube 900
Super Cube 900

The damage dealt by the Magma Cubes will progressively increase for each new size of Magma Cube and every new wave.

Liquid Hot Magma

[edit | edit source]

They have 20, with great speed and hold Magma Creams or Fire Charges. They usually shoot fireballs for their main attack, but will occasionally switch to a bow to deal Damage and Knockback. Can be damaged with normal weapons.

Rewards

[edit | edit source]

At the end of each wave, the number of gifts you will receive in all the Gift Piles will be displayed along with some other statistics such as:

  • Snowballs Hit
  • Snowballs Thrown
  • Snowballs Accuracy
  • Total Damage
    • Your # Position
  • Magma Cube Damage

Go to each Gift Pile to receive the gifts you earned.

Gift Piles

[edit | edit source]
One of the Gift Piles.

There are 5 Gift Piles scattered below Mount Jerry, forming a path labeled Ⓐ (A), Ⓑ (B), Ⓒ (C), Ⓓ (D), and Ⓔ (E). Look for the Green beacon beam to locate them. Your rewards will depend on how many Gift Piles are preserved at the end of each wave.

If the gift piles are all destroyed, Gary uses his snow machine and rains snow on the monsters.

Refer to the status bar on the top of your screen to view the overall HP of your Gift Piles along with their individual status:

  • Green: Not destroyed
  • Yellow: Targeting
  • White/Red: Partially destroyed
  • Ⓧ (X): Destroyed

Possible rewards given from the Gift Pile are:

Players can also earn a Volcanic Rock Volcanic Rock for each defended Gift Pile.

During the event, it is recommended to use the Snow Suit, including the equipment part or the upgrade - Nutcracker Armor as well as a Reindeer Pet, as you can fire your snow weapon and never deplete its ammo. An upgraded version of the Snow Cannon, the Frosty the Snow Blaster is also recommended, as it fires at a higher rate, resulting in more damage overall. It's also recommended to use Dwarf Turtle Shelmet Dwarf Turtle Shelmet or Shellwise Shard Shellwise Shard to prevent Knockback taken from the fireballs shot by the Magma Cubes. Prioritize the Magma Cubes as you will lower the risk of losing gifts, and more damage to them means more gifts you earn.

Foxy will increase the gifts obtained by 2.5x while she is elected with the Benevolence Perk.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Even though the event only happens in the Late Winter, the Developers wanted to stress test the new patch with improvements to the lag problem and started the event on the December 24th. 2019 (SkyBlock Time: Late Summer 18th). This was communicated through the pseudonym [System] and later [Jerry].
  • The names and HP of the Magma Cubes spawning in order are: Cubie 100, Maggie 200, Cubert 300, Cübe 400, Cubette 500, Magmalene 600, Lucky 7 700, 8ball 800, Mega Cube 900, Super Cube 900.
  • The Defend Jerry Workshop was closed on March 26th due to lag, but then re-opened soon after.
  • Super Cube has the same health as Mega Cube.
  • This event is a known money making method, as you can earn up to 1m per event by obtaining a score of 100 in order to receive the gifts that are rewarded to you for defending the workshop.
  • Mounted snow cannons will only deal damage to Liquid Hot Magma, but not the magma cube bosses.
  • There is currently a major bug where if a wave (usually the last one) begins on Late Winter 27th, the wave will be bugged and never begin. The scoreboard timer will read "Soon!" and never change until Jerry's Workshop closes. This bug was partially fixed. In some lobbies, it is fixed but not in some others. It is recommended to swap lobbies when your lobby is having the bug.
    • The maximum waiting time from the start of Late Winter 24th to the 1st wave which guarantees the 5th wave is approximately real-life 12 minutes. Players can enter a lobby right before Late Winter 24th, then change to another lobby if the waiting time is too long.
  • Bats from the Witch Mask and the Vampire Witch Mask can kill the cubes in one shot.
  • The Phantom Rod can one shot the cubes when using the ability.
  • On July 30th 2021, there was a bug in a certain server (mini569J) that caused Liquid Hot Magmas and power-ups to continue to spawn after the event was over. They could be killed with normal Weapons (and were able to be insta-killed after the first hit with Venomous), however abilities didn't work. This allowed players to get  Combat XP and Coins very fast, assuming they had an Intimidation Artifact so they weren't killed. They clustered at a specific location, likely as a gift pile should have been there. Whenever a player went too high above the Liquid Hot Magma, they are shot at with fire balls (and were killed instantly if they didn't have an Intimidation Artifact).
  • Necromancy and some Pets, when hit by a Snow Cannon, will add on your damage counter and can allow you to hit a high score really fast.
  • There is a bug where the gifts appear but you cannot pick them up.
  • Melee hits deals 1 damage to the cubes.
