Obtaining

A Level 1 Golden Dragon Egg Golden Dragon Egg can be purchased from the Dragon residing in the Dragon's Lair located in Mithril Deposits of Crystal Hollows. The Dragon guards 3 eggs located next to a loot chest. The Golden Dragon Egg can be purchased by clicking one of the eggs. The cost of the Golden Dragon Egg is as follows:

Usage

Both the Egg and the Pet have the type of  Combat Pet. From level 1 to level 99, the Golden Dragon Egg has no stats nor abilities, and cannot hold Pet Items.

Upon reaching level 100, it will hatch into a Golden Dragon Pet and gain its stats and perks.

  • The Golden Dragon Pet can give a maximum of +250% Damage if the player's bank contains a minimum of 1,000,000,000 Coins.
  • 50 Magic Find is required to max Dragon's Greed.
  • 100 million gold collection is required to max out Shining Scales.
  • The damage bonus is capped at 1,000,000,000 Coins, despite the maximum balance of a player's bank being 60,000,000,000 Coins for a Palatial Account.
    • If it were uncapped, the damage buff would go up to +15000% Damage.
  • The Legendary Treasure perk is additive, not multiplicative.
  • The Shining Scales perk adds to the base stats of the pet. This makes it the best Magic Find pet.
  • Purchasing a Golden Dragon Egg will reward the player with the "The Dragon's Egg" Achievement.
  • It is one of the few pets to have 4 abilities (5 when at lvl 200) at LEGENDARY rarity.
  • The Golden Dragon Pet's Legendary Treasure Perk works with all types of damage, including magic damage and damage that cannot be increased through normal means such as Precursor Eye's eye beam.
  • When equipped with the Ancient Golden Dragon Skin Ancient Golden Dragon Skin, the pet will display cosmetic levels, the levels gained from XP gained beyond what is required for level 200. Getting these cosmetic Pet Level ups will send a message in chat as normal.
  • On a Co-op profile, the Shining Scales perk uses the player's personal Gold collection, but the Legendary Treasure perk uses the co-op bank account's balance.
  • Before the 0.26 update, the Gold's Power ability worked on some items that are not weapons, specifically the Treecapitator Treecapitator, Cocoa Chopper Cocoa Chopper and Pumpkin Dicer Pumpkin Dicer. On the other hand, it does not work on Gemstone Gauntlet Gemstone Gauntlet with 5 Perfect Gemstones, Cactus Knife Cactus Knife or Fungi Cutter Fungi Cutter.
