The Fishing Festival is an Event that occurs when Mayor Marina is elected as Mayor with her Fishing Festival active, or when Mayor Foxy's Extra Event perk or Mayor Jerry's Perkpocalypse perk is rotated to a Fishing Festival.

During the Fishing Festival, players are able to fish up Sharks, special Sea Creatures that drop  Shark Fins and different varieties of Shark Teeth.

Marina schedules 12 Fishing Festivals throughout the year, occurring on the first 3 days of each month.

Other factors affect the time a Fishing Festival takes place:

• If Mayor Foxy is in office with her Extra Event perk active, a Bonus Fishing Festival occurs from 22nd of Late Summer with the same duration.
• A Bonus Fishing Festival from Mayor Jerry's Perkpocalypse occurs at exactly 18:00 on the same SkyBlock day of the beginning of a rotation to perks from Marina (or 18 hours in SkyBlock Time / 15 minutes in real-life time following the beginning of rotation to perks from Marina). The bonus event has the same duration as a normal Festival.

During the Fishing Festival, Sharks have a base 15% chance to replace all Sea Creatures. The chances for Sharks to replace Sea Creatures can be increased with the following methods:

• +1-5% from Doug's Shark Sonar perk
• +20% from  Shark Bait
• +20% from  Shark Scale Armor's Festival Fisher tiered bonus
• +10.1-20% from the  LEGENDARY Megalodon Pet's Feeding Frenzy perk

totalling to a +80% chance for Sharks to replace any Sea Creature.

• It is possible to have both Fishing Festival mobs and Spooky Festival mobs appear while fishing during the Fishing Festival that occurs after the Spooky Festival.
