Heavy Pearl

The Heavy Pearl is a LEGENDARY item that can be obtained as a drop by collecting them from The Matriarch in the Crimson Isle.

Obtaining

The Matriarch

Heavy Pearls can be obtained by collecting them from The Matriarch's stomach, located in the  Matriarch's Lair, without getting digested. There are three piles of Heavy Pearls in the  Belly of the Beast, which the player must click several times to obtain them. Whilst being in the  Belly of the Beast, Health is set to 100 , and all potion effects are removed. Under normal circumstances, 3 Heavy Pearls can be obtained per real-life day, all of which can be in the same run.

However, by consuming the Matriarch's Perfume, players get to reset The Matriarch up to a total of four times per real-life day, thus allowing players to obtain up to 15 Heavy Pearls per real-life day. The Matriarch Cubs attribute, obtained from syphoning Hellwisp Shards, also increases the chance for an additional Heavy Pearl to be collected when obtaining one; when activated, the following text will display.

Dying to the stomach acid, which deals 5 damage per second, will result in a 10m cooldown before another attempt.

Fishing

The Heavy Pearl can be caught while Treasure Fishing in  Crimson Isle:

Usage

Heavy Pearls are primarily used to upgrade Weapons and Armor sets that are upgraded with Crimson Essence. They are also used in specific Quests.

Trivia

There was a period of time when The Matriarch was inaccessible: during this period the only way to obtain a Heavy Pearl was to again talk to Gris after completing his quest, or salvage certain Armor pieces.
