The Hex

The Hex is a feature that allows players to examine their items and to see how they can upgrade them further. It is located in the  Hexatorum in the Hub.

The Hex allows players to insert an item into its menu and examine it. It shows all the upgrades the item currently has and how much further it can be upgraded. It can apply all listed upgrades to the item. To upgrade gear, it can take items from the player's inventory, and Storage. It can also use the player's Coins to buy upgrades from the Bazaar.

The Hex can be used to remove enchantments, including Stacking Enchantments, Endcap Upgrades, and those applied using Enchanted Books rather than the Enchantment Table.

The Hex requires Museum Milestone 8 to be used.

• The panel on the Hex Altar has very similar texture to Crystal Block from Terraria.
• The obfuscated text can be unscrambled to form sentences.
  • The text for weapons, armor and miscellaneous items reads "Give your mind to The Hex!"
  • The text for accessories reads "Give your time to The Hex!"
  • The text without any item placed reads "Give your life to The Hex!"
• Purchasing an upgrade from the Hex and quickly closing the UI issues the following dialogue and adds the upgrade regardless:
  Trying to pull a fast one, eh?!
• Using the Hex for the first time gives the "Gonna Put a Spell on You" Achievement.
