Star Upgrades

Star Upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to certain items to give them increased boosts to their stats.

Stars are applied to items through the Essence Crafting at a blacksmith ( Malik, Igor, Alwin, or The Hex). They require certain Essence, items, and/or Coins to be added to items. The amount of resources required increases as more Stars are added. Items that can be upgraded with Stars are listed in the Essence Guide.

Dungeon items that have Stars applied to them gain +10% of their stats per Star while in Dungeons. The Stats of a Starred item while in Dungeons are displayed in dark gray parentheses after the base stats of the item on its tooltip. Up to 5 Stars can be applied to Dungeon Items.

Up to 5 Master Stars can be applied to Dungeon items in an Anvil, to give them +5% of their stats per Star while in Master Mode Dungeons.

Items with Stars also gain +2% of their Stats per Star regardless if they are dungeonised or not. Typically, non-dungeon items may require additional items such as  Leather Cloth or  Wither Soul to be upgraded, and most  Crimson Isle items requires  Heavy Pearls to upgrade past 7 stars.

• Most items which can have Stars applied to them can have up to 5/10/15 applied depending on item, with the exception of Dojo Belts which can have up to 2/4/6/8/10/12 applied based on the tier of the belt, and Magma/Inferno/Hellfire Rods, which can have 3/7/10 respectively.
• Each tier of Kuudra Armor must have 10 stars applied before it can be prestiged to the next tier, clearing all previous stars. Upon reaching infernal tier, 15 final stars can be applied.
• Master Stars do not provide any bonuses outside dungeons.
