An Anvil can be used to combine Enchanted Books to increase their level, as in Vanilla Minecraft. it costs no additional   Experience levels to do so, and as a result, gives no  Enchanting experience. This does not work for all levels, however, as many high-level enchantments (usually level VI or higher) are obtained from Dungeons, Experiments, or the Dark Auction.

An Anvil can be used to apply modifiers like Enchanted Books, Endcap Enchantments,  Hot Potato Book or  Book of Stats to an item.

Two items of the same type can be combined to add their Enchantments. The item on the right slot will be deleted.

To apply a Reforge Stone, place it on the right side of the Anvil and the item to reforge on the left side. Most Reforge Stones have a  Mining skill requirement and a cost in Coins to apply.

Anvil also can be used to apply Backpack Skins, Power Orb Skins, Helmet Skins, Custom Dyes and use  Ditto Blob.

• In SkyBlock, players cannot damage an Anvil by simply using it. The only known way of damaging an anvil in SkyBlock is by dropping it from a height larger than 1 block. The chance of the anvil getting damaged is 5% per block fallen. When an anvil gets damaged for the 1st time, it will turn into a  Chipped Anvil. Damaging it again will turn it into a  Damaged Anvil. Damaging it another time breaks it.
