Frozen Spider is only available during The Great Spook, when the Tyashoi Alchemist is present in the  Village.

The Frozen Spider is a LEGENDARY item obtainable through Fishing.

Obtaining

The Frozen Spider has a chance to be obtained by fishing in the  Spider's Den whilst using an Icy Sinker and Spooky Bait while the Fear Mongerer or the Tyashoi Alchemist is in the  Village.

10 Frozen Spider can be given to the Tyashoi Alchemist in exchange for a Great Spook Staff. This can only be done once during each Alchemy experiment.

The Frozen Spider may not appear in the player's inventory after being caught. This can usually be fixed by opening the Storage or switching lobbies.

Enchanting a Fishing Rod with Blessing, Luck of the Sea, Lure and Piscary, and using a Flying Fish Pet grants extra Fishing Speed, meaning catch time is shortened significantly.
- Other fishing pets such as the Ammonite Pet or the Dolphin Pet can also be used, however they provide less Fishing Speed.
A Treasure Hook or Trophy Hunter Armor may be useful to prevent Sea Creature Chance from impacting drop rate.

The player must have talked to the Tyashoi Alchemist to receive the quest in order for the Frozen Spider to be able to be obtained.
Telekinesis did not work on it, and the Frozen Spider drop would spawn behind the player that has fished it up.
There was no owner priority with the Frozen Spider so anyone could pick it up once it had been dropped.
The Frozen Spider drop rate is unknown, but it is theorized to be at around 10% chance.
Despite the  Museum having been released the day after the Frozen Spider was released, and the fact that it could not be traded, auctioned or sold, it was not marked as Co-op Soulbound in the item description until the next Alchemy experiments, in 2022.
When the Frozen Spider was first released, ♲ Ironman players used to be able to use any fishing rod to fish them up, instead of needing to use an Ice Rod, due to the time-locked nature of Jerry's Workshop.
