Great Spook Staff is only available during The Great Spook, when the Tyashoi Alchemist is present in the  Village.

The Great Spook Staff is a LEGENDARY item. It is the final reward from Tyashoi Alchemist's quest, after the Great Spook Armor. It grants +10 Fear while held.

The Spooky Full Set Bonus of the Great Spook Armor allows a player to spook other players by punching them with the Great Spook Staff.

It can be obtained by giving the Tyashoi Alchemist 10 Frozen Spider.

Obtaining

Fishing with an Icy Sinker and Spooky Bait in the Spider's Den will give a chance of fishing up a Frozen Spider. Obtaining 10 Frozen Spiders and bringing them to Tyashoi Alchemist will give the player the the Great Spook Staff.

Spooker

This item or feature is currently disabled and cannot be used.

The Spooker ability can only be used if the player is wearing the full Great Spook Armor. It can be activated by punching any player, and has a cooldown of 60 seconds. It tells the player any of the following chat messages:

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DELETE YOUR CURRENT PROFILE? It will delete in 10 seconds... 5 4 3 2 1 ... Your profile is fine! This was just an evil troll :)
You are now op! Only kidding! We won't give you op ;)
You had a blacklisted <item> in your inventory, we had to delete it! Sorry! JK! Your <item> is fine. This was just a big mean troll :)
You died and lost <half of purse> coins! Just kidding! All your coins are fine, this was just a big mean troll :)

The spooker is also told You spooked <player> with '<spook>'!.

Before the green message, the player is told one of the following:

Nope!/False!/Just kidding! <player> just spooked you!.
Nope!/False!/Just kidding! <player> spooked you!.
You just got spooked! <player> is the culprit!

New players cannot be spooked, and the spooker is told "This player is too new to be spooked!".

Spook

The Spook ability can be used even if the player is not wearing the full Great Spook Armor. It turns the player invisible when right-clicked (including the player's armor), and replaces them with a dead bush, saying "WOAH! your staff turned you into a Dead Bush!". It has a 15 second cooldown, and makes them a dead a bush for 10 seconds.

Trivia

The item lore shows the edition number of the armor piece a player received, if obtained during the 2021 or 2022^[Confirm] Alchemist Experiments.
Any Great Spook Staffs a player buys from the Tyashoi Alchemist except for the first one each year will be automatically Soulbound.
This is the first item (other than the Great Spook Armor) to have the Fear stat.
One of the items the staff can claim to have been blacklisted is the SkyBlock Menu item.
Sometimes there is a discrepancy between the chat message sent from the Spooker ability and the chat message on the receiving player's end.
This item's Spooker ability does not work in the Dungeon Hub, while its Spook ability works as intended.
A player cannot be spooked with the Spooker ability while their Spook ability is active.
The Spook ability removes the Night Vision effect when used.
The Spook ability used to work in the Dark Auction and could bypass the Invisibility effect when used. It can no longer be used in the Dark Auction, however.

Tips

As this item does not have a base Damage stat and cannot be reforged or enchanted, it will generally deal very low damage to mobs. Players can either grind weaker mobs such as Graveyard Zombies or lower-tier Spiders, or make use of the One Punch perk in the Dragon Essence Shop in order to easily one-tap Endermen and Zealots using it.
- Contrary to its description, One Punch is actually affected by Crit Damage, therefore it can be quite powerful.
