Compost

Compost is an UNCOMMON item. Both it and its compact form, the  Compost Bundle, are used to unlock plots in  The Garden. Some Garden Visitors also request Compost. Compost is also used with a  Sprayonator to spray plots and attract Mosquitos and Earthworms.

Compost is obtained by using the Composter, which needs 4000 Organic Matter to make each Compost, excluding Composter Upgrades. The following table gives the Organic Matter for all known compostable items. All Organic Matter values below are exact. For example, Potatoes are worth exactly 0.33 organic matter, not 1/3. Note that  Condensed Fermento and  Condensed Helianthus can only be used with sufficient Composter Upgrades because they are worth more than the default limit of 40,000 Organic Matter.

Compost also has a 10% chance to drop from killing any Pest. However, due to it sharing a drop pool with other items, its effective drop chance is 1.67% (1 in 60 kills) (not affected by  Farming Fortune). In case of the  Field Mouse, the chance is 100%.

The best item to buy from the Bazaar for making Compost is currently  Enchanted Seeds at 11,965 Coins per 4000 Organic Matter.

Visitor Compost Attribute grants up to 2.5% chance for Visitors to bring Compost, which can be further increased with Queenly Echo attribute.

Sprayonator Serendipity Attribute grants 10% chance for Pests to drop an extra Sprayonator Material.

Compost is used to purchase Garden plots.

Geonathan Greatforge and Jotraeline Greatforge request Compost when visiting in  The Garden.

Compost can be used with a  Sprayonator to attract Earthworms and Mosquitos to a sprayed plot.

Compost can also be used as bait in a  Pest Trap,  Mouse Trap, or  Vermin Trap, allowing them to catch Pests and increasing the chance to catch a Earthworm or a Mosquito by 12x.
