Jythar, The Dragon Emperor, was a Dragon that lead the attack on the Human Realm in the year 1111 AE. This attack is known as the Calamity. He is not interactable in game, but a few NPCs and a dungeon journal talk about him, and his skeleton lies on the Crimson Isle in The Bastion.
- A long time ago, in the year 1111 AE, the millennia-old dragon ruler, Jythar, launched an attack with his entire Dragon army. Many kingdoms were obliterated by this attack, standing no chance against the massive Dragon army and their weird, unseen magic. During the attack, Jythar landed atop the Mountain, triggering the trap that human mages, including Kaeman, had set.
- The magic trap unleashed magical energy, immobilizing and crushing Jythar with the force of gravity. Dragon soldiers shielded the human attacks on their powerless emperor, but to no avail. However, defying all known laws of magic, Jythar slowly rose to his feet. The unusual aura of the passed on dragon was Fel, the magic of the dead, as if the dragon had made a pact with magic itself; he sacrificed his own soul for a brief moment of power and freedom. Jythar screamed, and for a moment time seemed to stand still, then a blast of dark energy has burst from the behemoth, freeing him from his trap and destroying everything in its way, killing thousands, sparing nobody, including his own soldiers and even a wing of his general Chozon.
- As the dragon's scream ripped through the air, time itself paused. At that moment, The Breach to the Rift Dimension opened at the peak of the Mountain. As Jythar’s pact with death came close, he fell to the earth, motionless but consumed by dark flames. The dragon's goal was achieved, leaving the realm in shambles. The familiar terrain had crumbled, shattered into a multitude of isolated islands. Jythar's heart, the core of the Fel magic, was placed somewhere in The End.
- Against the will of the Mage Council, Kaeman set up a laboratory to study the heart closer, in an attempt to discover the secret of life and death to save his family, Sarah and Mylah, who had died during the Calamity.
The immediate aftermath of Jythar's attacks involved the separation of the SkyBlock islands, which was once a connected piece of terrain; The End becoming corrupted along with the creation of the Endermen; and Kaeman becoming The Wither King. Jythar's remains, apart from his heart, are located in and near The Bastion, whilst the specific location of his heart is unknown. Chozon's corpse on the other hand, is located in the Spider's Den. The other 3 generals, Dogen, Kirva, and Daydro perished and fell in the void according to
Corm. After his death, the currently unnamed Dragon Empress, who is implied to be in a romantic relationship with Jythar, became the new Dragon leader.
