BEACON

Beacon Block is a COMMON item that gives players special effects while activated in player's Private Island. It is the vanilla and unobtainable version of the Beacon block in Minecraft, not to be confused with Beacon, which is the official version that unlocks at Mithril IX (9) Collection.

Earlier, Beacon Blocks worked like in vanilla Minecraft. There was a limited supply of Beacon Blocks before the Dwarven Mines were released.

After several patches, they do not have any usage anymore, other than as decorations.

Beacon Blocks were previously obtainable by using items with the appearance of a Nether Star (such as  Catalysts and  Hyper Catalysts).

• To avoid confusion with their tiered counterparts, vanilla Beacons are called "Beacon Blocks" in Hypixel SkyBlock.
• COMMON Beacon Blocks and RARE Beacons (Numeral) consider as two different types of blocks.
• After the Dwarven Mines update Beacon Blocks no longer give any buffs and became a decoration item with the lore of "A cool cosmetic imitation of the real thing!"
• Beacons placed and having an effect selected before the update that disabled such interaction still grants out their effect. This makes it effectively possible to have a few vanilla potion effects, such as Speed, which applies over custom Skyblock effects.
