Necromancy
Necromancy is a game mechanic that allows players to absorb souls from slain monsters and summon them.
Killing a mob with a Necromancy item equipped grants a chance of dropping its soul, which can then be summoned to deal and take damage for the player.
Items
[edit | edit source]Certain items have the Raise Souls ability, which is necessary in order to obtain and summon souls. To activate the ability with the
Summoning Ring, the item must be present in the player's inventory. With the other items, the player must use them to kill the mob they intend to capture its soul with.
| Slot | Name | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Summoning Ring | 2 | |
| Necromancer Sword | 2 | |
| Reaper Scythe | 3 |
Maximum Souls
[edit | edit source]Certain items can be used to extend the maximum amount of souls the player can store and summon.
| Slot | Name | Increase |
|---|---|---|
| Reaper Mask | +2 | |
| Necromancer Lord Helmet | +1 | |
| Necromancer Lord Chestplate | +1 | |
| Necromancer Lord Leggings | +1 | |
| Necromancer Lord Boots | +1 | |
| Ghoul Pet | +2 |
Thus, the maximum amount of souls possible is 10 considering the player is using a Reaper Scythe and wearing a Reaper Mask along with a Necromancer Lord Chestplate, Leggings and Boots, and has a Ghoul Pet equipped.
Attempting to use an item that has more souls than the player can deploy at once results in summoning only the first few souls that were stored in the item. For example, if a Reaper Scythe has five souls, and the player does not have any armor pieces that boost the Scythe's capacity, then only the first three souls will be summoned.

[edit | edit source]Soul Drop Chance
[edit | edit source]The drop chance of a soul is determined by the level of the mob it drops from, with this formula:
The drop chance cannot go below 1%. For example, a [Lv1] Mob would have a 99% chance to drop its soul, a [Lv50] Mob would have a 50% chance, and a [Lv200] Mob would have a 1% chance.
Mana Cost
[edit | edit source]The following formula is the Mana Cost required to summon the player's captured mobs:
This can be reduced in several ways, calculated multiplicatively.
| Slot | Name | Increase |
|---|---|---|
| -0.1% → -20% | ||
| -33% | ||
| Ultimate Wise | -10% → -50% | |
| -1% → -10% |
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The highest damaging mobs currently are the [Lv123]
Sniper for ranged combat and the [Lv100]
Woke Golem for melee. Alternatively, [MM] Tank Zombie souls used to be quite cheap and considerably strong and were generally used against Voidgloom Seraph.
- Now, Wither Skeleton, Wither Spectre and normal Tank Zombie souls are considered the top tier necromancy souls against the Voidgloom Seraph.
- The [Lv50]
Goon souls were only obtainable during the Dante boss fight for around 1 minute, making them one of the rarest summons. - Rare souls, such as mini bosses, have a darker shade of purple and a glowing skull when the player obtains their soul on the ground.
- Mobs summoned with necromancy items will despawn after 30s if the summoning player is AFK, and cannot be re-summoned until the player moves.[1]
- Due to
Derpy's DOUBLE MOBS HP!!! perk, whenever they are elected, all summon mobs' Health are also doubled.
