The Ancestral Spade is a RARE tool that can be bought from 
Diana when she is elected Mayor or Minister. It allows the player to find Griffin Burrows when used on the Hub Island.
The Ancestral Spade can be bought from Diana in the Community Center for 5,000 Coins and 
32 Gold Ingots when she is elected Mayor or Minister, regardless of her active perks.

The 
Ancestral Spade's Echo right-click ability points the player towards the nearest Griffin Burrow when used on the Hub Island, and it can be also used to dig out burrows by left clicking them.
The available loot from treasure burrows is as follows, depending on the tier of the spade. It does not depend on the rarity of the player's 
Griffin Pet.

- Players who cannot see the particles generated by the Ancestral Spade's Echo ability may need to turn up their particle quality using the /particlequality command and ensure particles are enabled in their Minecraft client as well.
- The maximum length of a Griffin Burrow chain achievable with the Ancestral Spade is 4, or 6 with the Erudite reforge when
Daedalus' Notes is applied to it.
- When using the Ancestral Spade's ability, there is a 1% chance to play a random game sound instead of the usual sound, likely as an Easter egg.
