The Solar Panel is an UNCOMMON Minion Fuel unlocked at Nether Quartz IX (9). It can be used to speed up a Minion by 25% during the day when placed inside the Minion Fuel Slot in the Minion GUI ( Orange Glass). Unlike most other fuels, it has an unlimited duration. It is not consumed and will be returned when clicked or a minion is picked up.

Solar Panel increases minion speed by 25% during the day. It has an unlimited duration and can freely be taken out of the minion. Solar Panel can be placed in all Minions.

Using it in addition to a  Day Saver will cause it to give the boost permanently.

However, the Day Saver does not work when the player is offline; thus, the Solar Panel effectively provides a ~12.5% increase in minion speed when the player is not around.

A better option might be the  Enchanted Lava Bucket as it provides the same 25% buff, but does not require daytime and therefore continues to provide the full buff even when the player is offline.
