9f™ Network
The 9f™ Network is a Quest given by
Tia the Fairy which spans the SkyBlock world, and requires the player to repair 9f™ Network Relays by selecting correct sounds.
Quest
[edit | edit source]After adding
Tia the Fairy on the player's
Abiphone, a 9f™ Operator Chip will be added into it. If
Tia's contact is removed, the Chip - alongside any rewards granted by it - will be removed as well and only granted again once the contact is readded.
The player can then call
Tia for a hint on where a 9f™ Network Relay might be found. In order to be able to see the Relays, the
Fairy Armor needs to be worn. There are a total of 9 Network Relays, each of which can be repaired by playing a minigame. The more of them has the player repaired, the greater the reward granted by the 9f™ Operator Chip, as shown in a table below:
| Relay | Contacts Needed |
Coordinates | Location | Cumulative Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | Wilderness | +2 Health | |
| 2 | 5 | Ruins | +4 Health | |
| 3 | 9 | Dwarven Mines | +6 Health | |
| 4 | 13 | The End | +8 Health +1 bonus contact | |
| 5 | 17 | Blazing Volcano | +10 Health +1 bonus contact | |
| 6 | 21 | Cathedral | +12 Health +1 bonus contact | |
| 7 | 25 | Wilderness | +14 Health +1 bonus contact | |
| 8 | 29 | Dungeon Hub | +16 Health +2 bonus contact | |
| 9 | 33 | Village | +18 Health +2 bonus contact |
After completing all relays,
Fred will no longer have connection issues when calling him through the Abiphone.
Interface
[edit | edit source]Gameplay
[edit | edit source]The 9f™ Network is a minigame heavily reliant on audio, thus using headphones is recommended. To first find the relays on your own requires the
Fairy Armor set to be worn. When near the area specified by
Tia, a pulsating sound can be heard that gets faster and higher pitched when approached. Clicking the relay will initiate the minigame.
The player is given 4 columns with 4 tiles to choose from each column, and one column is available at a time starting from the left. To start, the player should right click the four available tiles first to hear the audio that plays. These audio tracks are mainly vanilla sounds for example fireworks or mob groaning, with variations in pitch. The goal is to click each one of the 4 tiles from the lowest pitch to the highest. When the player clicks the tiles in the wrong order, the tiles will be disabled and cannot be clicked anywhere between 3 seconds to instantaneously being re-enabled, after which the column will be reset but not the whole board, giving some lenience for some mistakes even in the final relays.
Starting from the third relay, bombs will occasionally appear between the columns after finishing the first column. The bombs must be disarmed by clicking them within three seconds, otherwise they will explode and immediately fail the minigame. They appear more frequently the higher the relay, but fortunately retains the three second countdown.
The first relay will give the player 60 seconds to solve all 4 columns. The following relays will shorten the timer by 3 to 4 seconds with the ninth relay giving you only 30 seconds to finish it.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Although the 9f™ Operator Chip's tooltip implies that contacts requirement is only required to receive a "tip" from
Tia, in fact, the next Network Relay will not appear at all until the player reaches required number of contacts and calls
Tia.
