[August 25th] 0.27.1 Release Candidate

Updated: August 25, 2026

Today we have two separate updates on the Alpha Network: the 0.27.1 Release Candidate (which this thread is for) and The Minister Update (which you can find on this thread). We plan on releasing 0.27.1 to the network soon, we don't think it will need that long on the Alpha Network. We want to keep the Minister Update on the Alpha Network longer so that we can polish it to the point where all the Ministers are happy, so it will come out after 0.27.1. Now back to your regularly scheduled patch note reading.

Hello!

Today we have a smaller update on the Alpha Network with Mob Level Improvements and various QOL changes focused on smoothing out progression at various points in the game. There's also some new content for the Chocolate Factory and a handful of bug fixes.

► Mob Level Improvements

[edit | edit source]

The Mob Level Improvements mentioned in the 0.27 Release Thread have arrived, and are now ready for testing!

➥ What's Changed?

[edit | edit source]

Mob Levels have historically not been very accurate within SkyBlock. For example, both the Zealot Bruiser and the Kalhuiki Tribe Member are currently Level 100, despite the Tribe Member having 15,384× more Health and dealing 320× more damage per hit.

Using a formula that takes into account a mob's Damage and Health, in addition with several contextual factors, such as:

  • If the mob is a Boss, Slayer Boss, Miniboss, or Slayer Miniboss
  • If the mob is a Sea Creature and, if so, what its rarity

We can now automatically generate not only a mob level for every mob in the game that is far more indicative of its threat to the player, but we can also automatically generate the following rewards in a manner that makes the following rewards received scale with the level of the mob you just defeated:

  • Skill XP
  • Coins
  • XP Orbs

What this should mean for mob-centric skills, such as Combat and Fishing, is that you now gain significantly more XP from mobs that previously gave you far too little, though outliers in either direction (those that gave either too little or too much XP) will have been adjusted.

➥ What Should I Test?

[edit | edit source]

For this part of testing, simply play areas of the game where Skill XP is integral, such as:

  • Fishing
    • Has early game Fishing XP gain improved?
  • Combat
  • Slayer
    • How are Slayer spawn times? Faster, slower, the same?

We will be keeping a close eye on feedback to these improvements, so please leave anything you notice in the replies. This content will not necessarily release as part of 0.27.1 if significant further adjustments are needed to prevent disruption to the meta.

► Chocolate Factory Improvements

[edit | edit source]

➥ Rabbit Factions

[edit | edit source]

Starting at Chocolate Factory V you'll unlock the Faction Tower, where you're able to select one of four Factions: the City Rabbits, the Mountain Rabbits, the Country Rabbits, and the Beach Rabbits. Your can change which Faction you are aligned with for 1B Chocolate.

Being part of a Faction means you can find new Rabbits that are exclusive to that Faction. Finding these Rabbits are special, as they don't get automatically added to your collection. Instead, they'll drop as an item that you can trade with other players or buy/sell on the Bazaar. Right-clicking on them consumes the item and adds them to your collection permanently.

Each Faction has 4 levels of dedication that you can level up using Chocolate, the higher the level, the higher the rarity of Faction Rabbits you can potentially find! Each Faction has 5 COMMON, 4 UNCOMMON, 3 RARE, 2 EPIC, and 1 LEGENDARY Chocolate Rabbit to find. Note that Faction Rabbits are twice as rare as Chocolate Rabbits of the same rarity.

➥ Chocobits

[edit | edit source]

Starting at Chocolate Factory VI you'll unlock the Chocobit Tower, which allows you to find SPECIAL Chocobit Rabbits that no one else in SkyBlock can have at the same time! There are 33,333 Chocobits total and they drop twice as frequently as MYTHIC Rabbits, and they each add 0.2x to the multiplier of your Chocolate Factory! Note that Chocobits are not stored in your normal Chocolate Rabbit Collection and they do not take up space.

...but there's a catch! You must pay 1M Coins each SkyBlock Year per Chocobit you own, or else it'll be released back into the pool for anyone to potentially get! When a Chocobit gets released, they'll give you two SkyBlock Years worth of Chocolate production that they would've made otherwise as a thanks!

If you already have every DIVINE Chocolate Rabbit, the pity for it will be replaced with pity for Chocobits.

➥ Other

[edit | edit source]
  • Doubled the drop rates of MYTHIC and DIVINE Rabbits
    • With this change their Pity amounts have been reduced to 250 and 1,250 respectively
  • Added a new Chocobun Shard that can be fused into with Bunbun and any Crime Family shard
    • Adds +1 Level Cap to Rabbit Bro, Cousin, and Sis
