Catacombs Puzzle Rooms
On each floor, 2 or more puzzles will generate. They are marked as purple rooms on the Magical Map. Two of the same puzzle room will never generate in the same dungeon.
Each puzzle room contains a simple puzzle for players to solve. Completing a puzzle rewards the team with a Tier V Blessing, as well as marking the puzzle on the Magical Map as complete. Failing to complete a puzzle subtracts 14 points from the team's Skill score unless a player uses the
Architect's First Draft to reset the puzzle.
The status of puzzles in the current Dungeon can be found in the tab menu. There, players can see the total number of puzzles in the Dungeon, their names, their states (incomplete, complete, or failed), and if failed, who was responsible.
Many popular SkyBlock mods have solvers that could make doing puzzles significantly easier, such as highlighting the correct Blaze to hit, showing the correct pathway to take for the Ice puzzles etc.
List of Puzzles Rooms
[edit | edit source]Tic Tac Toe
[edit | edit source]To solve, players must tie a Tic Tac Toe match against an AI. When the player enters the room, the AI always starts first. In floors 0-3 it always starts in the middle, while in later floors it starts either in the middle or in one of the corners.
If the AI starts in the middle, pick any corner first. If the AI starts in the corner, choose the middle first. Then, block any 3-in-a-row the AI tries to make.
In this room there is also a secret chest, located inside a wall to the left of the main puzzle. To access that chest, go up the stairs in the back of the room and turn the lever. The wall will open, and the chest will be accessible. The open wall has leaves near it.
Three Weirdos
[edit | edit source]Three NPCs stand in a room with three corresponding chests. They will make statements about who has the correct chest, but one or more are lying. Players must use the given information to open the correct chest.
- Case 1
- [Person 1]: The reward is not in my chest!
- [Person 2]: One of us is telling the truth!
- [Person 3]: They are both telling the truth. The reward isn't in [Person 1]'s chest.
- Case 2
- [Person 1]: We are all telling the truth!
- [Person 2]: At least one of them is lying, and the reward is not in [Person 3]'s chest.
- [Person 3]: [Person 1] is telling the truth and the reward is in his chest.
- Case 3
- [Person 1]: My chest doesn't have the reward. At least one of the others is telling the truth!
- [Person 2]: My chest doesn't have the reward we are all telling the truth.
- [Person 3]: One of the others is lying.
- Case 4
- [Person 1]: My chest has the reward and I'm telling the truth!
- [Person 2]: They are both telling the truth, the reward is in [Person 3]'s chest.
- [Person 3]: They are both lying, the reward is in my chest!
- Case 5
- [Person 1]: The reward isn't in any of our chests.
- [Person 2]: The reward is in my chest.
- [Person 3]: The reward is not in my chest. They are both lying.
- Case 6
- [Person 1]: [Person 2] is telling the truth.
- [Person 2]: My chest has the reward.
- [Person 3]: Both of them are telling the truth. Also, [Person 1] has the reward in their chest.
Creeper Beams
[edit | edit source]Sea Lanterns are placed on the walls and ceiling of the room. They can be joined with a beam by shooting them with a bow. Players must get four different beams to pass through the Creeper in the middle to complete the room. To do so, Players have to look for two lanterns that are placed at two other sides of the room. When all four beams are aligned properly, the Creeper explodes, revealing a treasure chest containing a level V Blessing.
Water Board
[edit | edit source]Three of the five doors to the chest are closed. By making the water flow into the hole with the corresponding color on the water maze, players can toggle the doors open and closed. Six levers retract and extend their corresponding blocks on the water maze, and another lever located at the back of the room toggles the flow of water. Players must use the levers to control the flow of water to enter the correct holes and have all five doors open at the same time.
If the water flows into a hole that corresponds to an already opened door, the door will close. This may lead to the Player being locked inside. There are a few ways to escape, mainly:
- Another player opening the closed door.
- Using a Spirit Leap.
- Using the Ether Transmission Ability provided by the Etherwarp Conduit.
- Leaving the dungeon and having the party leader warp the Player back. This is however recommended only if other options are unavailable, as it will count as a death. This means that after coming back, the Player will end up as a ghost.
Teleport Maze
[edit | edit source]In the teleport maze your goal is to get to the center room by using teleport pads. After using a teleport pad, you face towards the teleporter that will take you to the final room. However, this pad is often in a different room.
The best way to finish quickly, is by running to the teleport pad diagonal of the one you used to enter the room. Keep running diagonal until you spawn facing a teleport pad in the same room. This teleporter should take you to the center.
Boulder
[edit | edit source]In the Boulder Puzzle, you arrive in a room, and after taking the stairs down, it is filled with "boxes"(3x3x3 blocks of wood planks with buttons) in different combinations. Trying to go over the boxes makes white stained glass appear under you, so you cannot just go over the boxes.
To complete this puzzle, you have to press the buttons to make the box go to the side opposite the button. If the box is at the very back and you press the button, the box will disappear. If you push a box into another box, you cannot move it the other way. Normally, you are able to complete the puzzle by pushing only a couple boxes, usually at the sides, so it isn't 'hard', but it takes experience to do it without much thought.
Higher or Lower
[edit | edit source]With Higher or Lower, also known as the Blaze Puzzle, you arrive in a tall chamber with blazes and a ring spiraling on the edges that you can use to climb up.
To successfully complete this puzzle, you have to kill all the blazes in a specific order.
- If the chest spawns at the bottom of the chamber, then you have to kill the
Blazes starting with the lowest health and slowly advancing to the highest health. - If the chest spawns at the top of the chamber, then you have to kill the
Blazes starting with the highest health and slowly advancing to the lowest health. - If you kill a
Blaze out of order, you fail the puzzle.
Note : caution should be taken by avoiding the following :
- Bows like
Runaan's Bow or the
Hurricane Bow due to them shooting multiple arrows at once. - Both
Frozen Scythe and
Glacial Scythe, due to their innate piercing ability. - Enchants like Duplex should be not be used.[More Info Needed]
- Classes : Archers should avoid this puzzle with their bows due to their passive ability, Bouncy Arrows, which can easily cause the puzzle to fail. However, they can use fishing weapons to throw hooks and kill the blazes.
Ice Fill
[edit | edit source]In this puzzle, there are three levels of ice. You must walk through each ice block to turn them into packed ice blocks. Stepping on the block you already stepped on earlier, jumping, or moving diagonally causes the ice to shatter, forcing you to repeat the puzzle. This puzzle only spawns on Floor 7 and rewards two blessings.
Ice Path
[edit | edit source]in this puzzle, there's a silverfish with TNT on its head. You must guide it to the chest by punching it in a direction. Once punched, it won't stop sliding until it hits a wall or a block. Do note that trying to cheese this puzzle by placing Traps would cause the puzzle to be failed.
Quiz
[edit | edit source]In this puzzle, a statue called Oruo the Omniscient will ask three SkyBlock-related questions, such as Catacombs Boss titles, Fairy Souls, etc. If one clicks a potential answer in the chat, it'll tell that you are suggesting that it's the answer.
Once completed, the puzzle grants a unique Blessing of Time granting Health, Defense, Intelligence and Strength. On top of that, Oruo will also add 1 hours to player's
Bottle of Jyrre and
Dark Cacao Truffle and max out their
Training Weights.

Removed Rooms
[edit | edit source]Bomb Defuse
[edit | edit source]Bomb Defuse was a dungeon puzzle involving a creeper at the center with two chests. At both sides of the room lies two pressure plates that two players must step on. Once stepped, a timer counts down where the player on the left has the information to solve the second player's puzzle. If they don't complete the puzzle on time, the creeper explodes, failing the room.
Bomb Defuse was removed on the 0.20.5 update.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- There are a couple of known ways to glitch through blocks and walls:
- Break a 2x1x1 section of blocks. They will be replaced, but you're sometimes able to glitch in them due to lag. If you keep running into them and breaking more blocks, those other blocks will also disappear. This can be used to cheese Trap Room and Boulder.
- Using the Wither Cloak Sword and Shadow Fury, you can teleport to the creepers from the Wither Cloak Sword which are behind a wall, effectively teleporting you behind the wall.
- Oruo is referenced by
Julian in Stillgore Château. - One of the lanterns in the Creeper Beams room is currently glitched; Appearing to have arrows stuck in it, but doesn't change no matter how many times it is struck. This can be bypassed with Explosive Arrows.
