A Festering Maggot is an EPIC Permanent Consumable item used to increase the player's Defense.
Obtaining
[edit | edit source]A Festering Maggot has a 0.5% (1 in 200) chance to drop from a Tier IV or above 
Revenant Horror once at Zombie Slayer VI (6).
Usage
[edit | edit source]Consuming a Festering Maggot grants +2 SkyBlock XP and a permanent +1 Defense. Up to 5 Festering Maggots can be consumed in total.

| Second Maggot | PHEW! Better hold your nose while chewing, the smell isn't helping things. |
| Third Maggot | UGH! The third tastes three times worse than the second, which tasted twice as bad as the first. Things aren't looking up. But hey, anything for a small stat buff. |
| Fourth Maggot | HIC! You struggle to keep a burp down, and it tastes like more maggots. Nasty. |
| Fifth Maggot | NO MORE! Not again, not even once. You say that, but we both know you'll do anything for a small stat boost. Be it maggot, larva, or vial, you'll be there, hungry for more. |
| Attempting to eat more than 5 | You've already consumed the maximum amount of this item! |
