Hello! As of today joining Hypixel SkyBlock will require you to be on at least Minecraft version 1.21.9 or above. This is a major step forward for the game and we're excited about what's coming in the not-too-distant future for Hypixel SkyBlock! This update also includes a revamp to The Hub, a new Year of the Witch event, a restructured Museum, an RNG Meter for Frozen Corpses, the end-of-life update for Stranded, and much more. Keep reading to learn all of the details!

Joining Hypixel SkyBlock will now require you to be on Minecraft 1.21.9 or higher. Going forward we plan on maintaining support for the two latest game drops, as outlined in this thread. Being on newer versions of Minecraft will help us push SkyBlock to new heights, and we can't wait to show you what we've got in store.

With the update to latest versions we've taken the time to entirely revamp the layout of The Hub. The island is now more split up into "lanes" for each skill to better direct players down the path they want to go. There are new nooks, crannies, and teasers for what's to come scattered across the new build as well. We couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out!

You may also notice that a few other islands have received some blocks from newer versions as well!

Joining annual celebrations for Pigs and Seals comes the Year of the Witch! Once every 12 SkyBlock Years each mob type will have a rare chance of dropping a special stew ingredient. Gather a stack of an ingredient to brew a special stew which grants Alchemy XP and some Magic Find towards that Mob Type.

You can also talk to Agnes for access to the Year of the Witch shop. There's a new talisman, two new Mixins, a sack to hold all of your stew ingredients, and a Witch Pet!

On top of being found in the Hub Village rather than the back of the mountain, the Museum also received quite a few changes with this update.

The Museum menu has been overhaul ed and split into better-defined categories: Combat, Farming, Mining, Fishing, Foraging, Dungeoneering, Hunting, and Special Items.

A number of new items were added to the Museum as a part of this release.

• Added a sort button to each Museum category
• You can now donate items to the Museum from the home screen
• Improved the message that gets sent when donating an item to the Museum

With this update we've introduced an RNG Meter for particularly unlucky players who are looting Frozen Corpses.

Looting Frozen Corpses will give various amounts of RNG Meter XP:

• Lapis Corpses: 500 XP
• Umber/Tungsten Corpses: 2,500 XP
• Vanguard Corpses: 25,000 XP

Like other RNG Meters in the game, you can select a drop through /rng and you'll be guaranteed to drop it in the next Frozen Corpse you open once you hit the required amount of XP. We're granting 10% retroactive RNG Meter XP to all players with this update.

The loot tables for each type of Frozen Corpse has also been re-written, with the intent being for higher tier corpses to be more profitable than they were before. Please note that they have been further adjusted since the initial Alpha phase.

Grandpa Wolf can be found at -56, 123, 332 in the Glacite Tunnels. If you loot enough Frozen Corpses, he'll reward you for your time in the form of several useful perks and a new talisman line. All Frozen Corpses Milestones are retroactive, meaning you won't have to get frostbite once again if you've already put the work in.

• Added the ability to salvage the Frosted Scute for 100 Ice Essence
• Added a 5,000,000 NPC sell price to the Frosted Scute and Shattered Locket
• Added a Worm/Scatha Tablist Widget to the Crystal Hollows.
• Added +2.5 Gemstone Spread to the Pendant of Divan's "Legacy" Tiered Bonus.
• Adjusted Mining Fiestas start times, spreading them more evenly throughout the SkyBlock Year.
  • Fiestas now occur throughout the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th months of the year.
    • [!] Designer Note: This is not a Minister Perk - those are still to come.
• Adjusted Mort to now ask for a Spirit Bone instead of a Spirit Mask as part of his Abiphone Contact quest.
• Improved clarity of the Gifts from the Departed HOTM Perk's itemlore.
• Adjusted Dead Man's Chest HOTM Perk from +1-50% to +0.5-25%.
• Added a line of "Dwarven Lantern" mining deployables:
  • The Dwarven Lantern can be purchased from Lumina.
  • The Dwarven Lantern can be upgraded to the Mithril Lantern in The Forge at HOTM 2.
  • The Mithril Lantern can be upgraded to the Titanium Lantern in The Forge at HOTM 5.
  • The Titanium Lantern can be upgraded to the Glacite Lantern in The Forge at HOTM 8.
  • The Glacite Lantern can be upgraded to the Will-o-wisp in The Forge at HOTM 10.
    • Crafting the Will-o-wisp requires a Caged Wisp, which is a new drop from Tungsten/Umber and Vanguard Frozen Corpses.

Back in August , we started work on an end-of-life update to the Stranded mode, working with the community to gather feedback and address some of its most pressing issues. Today we're presenting you with our final set of proposed changes to Stranded:

• Added the following NPCs to Stranded, they have no requirements unless otherwise stated:

    • Einary only appears during the Winter.

• Removed the Builder's collection requirement.
• Halved the HP and damage of Mobs on Stranded profiles.
• Added Legacy Treecapitator to Stranded.
  • You can convert your existing Treecapitator to Stranded version by placing it in the middle slot of the crafting GUI in the Workbench.
• The Weaponsmith now sells Arrows.
• All Fortunes now work on your Stranded island.
• Fixed Melody's Harp not working on Stranded.
• Enabled access to /mobtypes without visiting Ike while on Stranded.
• The Hex can be accessed on Stranded with the /hex command while a Booster Cookie is active.

Today we have a number of high-impact quality-of-life changes to several areas of the game.

• Adjusted the unlock order of the Kuudra Pet's perks. The new order can be found below:
  • COMMON -> Wither Bait
  • UNCOMMON -> Trophy Bait
  • RARE -> Crimson
  • EPIC -> Kuudra Fortune
  • LEGENDARY -> Kuudra Specialist
    • [!] Designer Note: A key goal here is for the "Trophy Bait" perk to be more accessible, since +20 Trophy Chance is a massive amount to be locked behind the Epic tier of the pet.
• Adjusted the rarity of the Wolf Talisman from COMMON -> UNCOMMON.
• Adjusted the purchase requirements for the Blood God Crest:
  • Can now be purchased infinitely instead of once per profile.
  • Now capped at +7 Strength.
• Rogue Swords can now be purchased at the Weaponsmith

• Added the Spirit Mask to the Master Mode Floor 4 drop table and removed it from the Dark Auction.
  • Can only drop from the Obsidian Chest, costs 15m to open.
  • Has 4x less weight than a Spirit Sword.
• Added a chat message that displays whenever you level up a Boss Collection.
• Adjusted Golden Heads and Diamond Heads to now be purchased from Ophelia upon being unlocked.
  • [!] Designer Note: With this change, Diamond Heads now carry over upgrades from Golden Heads.
• Added 250 Gold Essence to Boss Collection tiers where Golden Heads were previously awarded.
• Added 1,000 Diamond Essence to Boss Collection tiers where Diamond Heads were previously awarded
• Adjusted the default dungeons class from Archer -> Berserk.
• Removed the ability to activate Berserk's Throwing Axe by sneaking while in The Catacombs.

• Added a Golden Fish Tablist Widget to the Crimson Isle.
• Added a Seal Pet to Lukas the Aquarist's shop during the Year of the Seal!
• Adjusted the speed of earlier-tier Fishing Minions to ensure the speed increase was more gradual between tiers.
• Adjusted Fishing Baits to only be consumed upon successful catch.
• Adjusted Sea Creatures to no longer attack players aside from the spawner unless provoked.
• Removed the mechanic that would cause you to catch nothing if you didn't move for a while when fishing.

• Added the ability for players to retrieve perishable minion fuels (e.g Hyper Catalysts) from minions.
• Adjusted the icons used for certain stats in /stats
• Added reminder text to all Accessories to inform the player that they still function while in the Accessory Bag.
• Added the ability for Hoppity to take coins from Bank if you have insufficient funds in your Purse.
• Adjusted the Pig Pet, giving it a new set of perks.
• Adjusted items within the 20s can't-buy period on the Auction House to be hidden until the 20s has elapsed.
