Hello!

We're making a variety of changes to content in the Foraging update to smooth out progression and alleviate some of your concerns regarding Kuudra. Some of these changes have already rolled to alpha, and some are pending roll. This thread is documenting all of those changes.

➥ New Armor Set

[edit | edit source]

We've added a new armor set earned through The Park. Each piece of the set is earned through completing a specific NPC's quest. Each piece gives a bit of Foraging Fortune on top of Health and Defense.

  • Charlie → Charlie's Trousers
  • Kelly → Kelly's T-Shirt
  • Melody → Melody's Shoes
  • Molekin → Molekin's Hat

► Kuudra

[edit | edit source]

NEW KUUDRA LOOT TABLE: CLICK HERE

Here's some important things to note:

  • The Kraken (Vitality) shards are no longer in the Kuudra loot table. Instead, Kraken shards are now guaranteed from every Kuudra run, at the following rates:
    • T1/T2: 1 Shard
    • T3/T4: 2 Shards
    • T5: 3 Shards
  • The Tormentor and Hellstorm Wand are new additions to the Kuudra loot table.
    • Tormentor replaces the Enrager within Kuudra's loot table.
    • Its drop rate is significantly higher than what Enrager's once was, but still should be rare enough to be exciting when it drops.
    • It has an Infernal Kuudra Clear requirement and a Combat Requirement of Lv 42.
  • There's a bunch of Kuudra-exclusive "demon" family shards that have very powerful effects. You can fuse into them with your Kraken shards, or directly get them as a drop from Kuudra!
  • Travel Scroll to Kuudra's Hollow has been added to the Kuudra loot pool.
  • Kuudra Mandible now has a salvage value of 500 Crimson Essence.
  • The Crimson Essence from Kuudra's Free chest has been bumped up to 10/25/50/100/200.

In addition, we are planning on doing the following changes:

  • Rework the Inferno enchant to increase your damage while in Kuudra's Lair and the Crimson Isles.
  • Add an upgrade to Molten Equipment that increases your stats while in Kuudra's Lair and the Crimson Isles.

➥ Infernal Kuudra Armor Essence Costs

[edit | edit source]

A set of 15✪ Infernal Armor used to cost ~3,700 runs worth of Crimson Essence, which is far more runs than reasonably required. The total Crimson Essence cost required is being reduced by approximately 60%.

You can view the detailed changes HERE.

The increased Crimson Essence gains and the reduction in upgrade costs drops the number of runs required for a set of Infernal Kuudra Armor to ~1,100.

➥ FYI: Ananke Feathers & Attribute Refunds

[edit | edit source]

As promised we are refunding players for their "god rolls" which were essentially the RNG drops of Kuudra. We are compensating for these RNG drops with Ananke Feathers, a new RNG drop with approximately the same market value. Here's how the system works:

Ananke Feathers

  • Ananke Feathers are a new item that grants progress toward RNG meters.
  • They are designed to hold consistent market value, regardless of the item you claim them from.
  • Only the highest-value “god roll” attribute combos receive feather compensation.
  • Feather amounts are based on the actual market value of your item, not just the fact that it was a god-roll.

You can check the refund values HERE for each item/attribute combination.

NOTICE: We have removed the restriction of god-rolls not rewarding attributes when obtained after a certain date. They will now award Ananke Feathers just like their older counterparts.

Ananke Feathers in Kuudra

  • Ananke Feathers also drop from T5 Kuudra at a 0.35% drop rate.
  • This is intentionally low, to limit market disruption while keeping the item desirable.
  • If farming Kuudra becomes more efficient than other RNG sources, we’ll adjust the drop rate accordingly.
  • The total number of refunded Ananke Feathers is finite as it's a one-time event.

Attribute Shards

  • Attribute Shards are refunded based on the tier of each attribute.
  • This was previously 1/2/3/4/6/8/16/32/64/128 shards from T1-10 respectively on Alpha.
  • We have reduced the conversion rates of Attribute Shards at earlier tiers to better reflect their value.
  • Certain items (Rampart Armor, Volcano weapons, fishing sets, Vanquished gear) now refund Attribute Shards at half the normal rate.

As part of this cleanup, we’ve also temporarily disabled attributes on most non-Kuudra gear until the Foraging update drops along with the /attributemenu until the Foraging update releases. You can still grind Kuudra for Attribute Shards in the meantime.

➥ Aurora Armor & Mana Attributes

[edit | edit source]

Aurora Armor is now a lot weaker without exclusive attributes. It will be compensated by an increase to the armor's base Intelligence, as follows:

Aurora Helmet

Intelligence (previous) Intelligence (new)
Basic 190 275
Hot 239 347
Burning 302 437
Fiery 380 550
Infernal 479 693

Non-Helmet Aurora Armor

Intelligence (previous) Intelligence (new)
Basic 125 175
Hot 158 221
Burning 198 278
Fiery 250 350
Infernal 315 441

We also plan to buff the set ability to grant mana for 10 seconds upon ability activation. Note that this is mana and not intelligence, thus it only increases your mana pool and not your damage. Let us know what you think about that ability. You can see the details of the proposed changes along with a bit more intelligence values HERE.

➥ Other Attributes & Balancing

[edit | edit source]

This update removes quite a bit of stats from players. While we do believe that the distribution of certain few stats through attributes was wildly unbalanced, we did not intend for these changes to have such a big impact.

  • Vitality
    • Vitality was giving too much healing that would have been rebalanced in the near future.
    • Inferno Demonlord's T4 damage will be reduced by 30% to compensate for the loss of healing.
  • Veteran
    • Veteran was also giving far too much Combat Wisdom, especially in respect to other Combat Skill XP buffs.
    • Veteran will be bumped up to 10 Combat Wisdom at max.
    • We will consider giving slayer-specific XP buffs as an alternative to boost the rates of spawning slayer bosses.
  • Speed
    • Speed allowed players to attain high amounts of speeds without using speed-specific armors.
    • This Speed was not necessary, and exclusively useful in The Catacombs to avoid having to sacrifice damage stats to get wanted speed.
    • There are many other options to get Speed such as Tuning Points, Enrichments, Pets, and Armor.
    • We will consider giving more options for gaining Speed in the near future.
  • Mana Steal
    • Mana Steal has been reduced from 20 per hit to 5 per hit.
    • It's still about a 5% increase to your mana regeneration per second, assuming you regenerate 400 mana/s through passive regeneration, Power Orbs, and the Mana Steal enchant.
  • Magic Find
    • We are planning on doing a larger rework to Magic Find sometime soon so this was going to be changed regardless. The plan with that update is to move temporary/conditional sources of Magic Find into permanent ones to get rid of the need to swap around gear, so this Attribute was going to be changed anyways.
    • For now, the Magma Lord Armor passive has been buffed from 5/10 Magic Find to 15/25 Magic Find against Lava Sea Creatures.

► Other

[edit | edit source]
  • Chill Bestiary has been reduced from 10k to 1k to max.
  • Flare Bestiary has been reduced from 100k to 10k to max.
    • This is done in anticipation of the Gauntlet of Contagion's "kill duping" functionality being significantly harder to proc/entirely fixed.
    • Also rolled a small change that may fix the spawning issue with Flares.
  • The Frog Pet is now a Foraging Pet instead of a Fishing Pet.
    • Thanks for pointing it out...
  • Blaze Slayer damage will be nerfed by 30% across the board for T4, with a slight damage adjustment for T3.
  • Rescaled the number of attributes required to upgrade shards at each tier of rarity, as shown HERE.

That's all for today!
