Hypixel SkyBlock 0.23.2 - The Primordial Broodfather

Updated: July 22, 2025

Hello! Welcome to Hypixel SkyBlock Patch 0.23.2 . Today's update brings you some long-awaited slayer content and fixes to other parts of the game.

► The Primordial Broodfather

[edit | edit source]

The Primordial Broodfather is the fifth and final tier Spider Slayer boss, being a step up from the Tier V Revenant Horror. It brings with it not just several exciting new drops that aim to alter the overarching slayer progression, but also several key revamps to older items.

➥ Boss Abilities

[edit | edit source]

We didn't just add a fifth tier to Spider Slayer and call it quits - we instead took the time to rebuild the slayer from the ground up, aiming for a more active and varied gameplay experience. Each tier of the boss is now entirely different from what it was before.

➥ New Items

[edit | edit source]

Please note that we are aware of just how much Spider Slayer RNG Meter XP some players have stockpiled over the years. While we will not be removing any Meter XP from players, we will also not allow for the new chase items to be redeemed in the RNG Meter for a little while after the release of this update. We have made this choice to prevent the market from being flooded on day 1 and to give everyone an equal chance at obtaining the rarer drops.

    • The menu can be accessed with the /kuudratransfer command, or at the faction blacksmiths Alwin and Igor at the Crimson Isle.

► Changes to Unclaimed Event Rewards

[edit | edit source]

As previously announced on our last release thread, we have now deployed a change that will cause any Event rewards (Spooky Festival, Carnival, etc.) to expire if it has been 10 or more SkyBlock years since they were given. If you have any rewards sitting around that haven't expired already, now is the time to claim them.

► Damage Reduction Fixes

[edit | edit source]

When it came to damage reduction, some items were working in strange and mysterious ways. The most notable issue is being able to stack 100% damage resistance to get full damage immunity. Fear no more, for they have been corrected!

  • Adjusted how damage reduction was calculated in Pets, resulting in lower reduction than stated.
  • Adjusted End Stone Sword's ability to now gain damage reduction for every 100 mana consumed (was 5) and added a cap at 20% multiplicative damage reduction.
  • Adjusted the following items from an additive damage reduction to a multiplicative reduction instead:
    • Monster Hunter’s Set Bonus
    • Magma Lord Armor and Magma Lord Gauntlet
    • Taurus Helmet, Flaming Chestplate, Moogma Leggings, Slug Boots
    • Thunder Armor and Thunderbolt Necklace
    • Wither Impact and Wither Shield
    • Soulweaver Gloves
    • Pumpkin Armor
    • Ender Relic/Artifact
    • Nether Artifact
    • Zombie Artifact/Ring/Talisman
    • Spider Artifact/Ring/Talisman
    • Wolf Ring/Talisman
    • Fire Talisman
    • Lava Talisman
    • Wither Relic/Artifact
  • Fixed an issue which allowed all variations of the Sea Creature Accessories to stack their damage reduction together.

► Bug Fixes

[edit | edit source]
  • Fixed an issue preventing the placing of deployables near the Soul Campfire.
  • Fixed an issue causing Cinderbats to die to lava when attempting to lasso them.
  • Fixed an issue causing scaffolding to despawn when sneaking near the edge or jumping on it.
  • Fixed the Sea Creature Guide not detecting when you'd killed a Tadgang for the first time.
  • Fixed an issue causing Black Holes not pulling in mobs correctly while underwater or when obstructed by transparent blocks such as wheat.

  • Added an "Essence Guide" button to the Forest Essence Shop.

  • Added Unlock Cost to HOTM and HOTF Ability descriptions.
  • Changed requirements to reset HOTM and HOTF to their first perks (Mining Speed for HOTM and Sweep for HOTF).

And that's all for this update! We hope you enjoy the challenge posed by the Primordial Broodfather - now get out there and get slaying!
