Hey everyone! Today we're opening alpha for custom crop growth in The Garden! This allows us to modify your crop growth speed per Garden Level. In order to do this, we've had to implement a lot of our own logic into farms, so we need to know what feels wrong and how well the servers perform with it. We also have some important backend profile changes up that aim to improve overall game stability.

We have also fixed a long standing issue with the alpha network that would lead to some player's data failing to clone from the main network in rare circumstances. If you have been unable to login to alpha in the past we encourage you try now that we have implemented this new fix.

Summary

• All crops have a +10% growth rate increase per Garden Level.
• Crops that require soil to grow will have a 40% debuff on dry soil.
• Growth logic is handled differently -- this means that farming quirks like cactus only growing next to certain blocks may not work or act slightly different. We've done our best to replicate it, but please report changes that may be impactful or annoying.
• From last alpha session, we've heard that mushroom growth was unusually slow and have buffed it.
• There are no more light requirements for any crops.

Known issues - Please do not report these!

• Pumpkin and Melon stems will grow their respective crops slower if they've been bone mealed.
• Cactus will still grow when adjacent to full blocks.
• Mushrooms will grow and automagically break themselves when they grow in a protected area.
